Summary

Moderator Col. Mariusz Rukat asked the panelists for a catalogue of Poland's external strategic challenges – with regard to allies, partners and adversaries. Gen. Stanisław Koziej identified the new cold war between Russia and the West, with hybrid forms of aggression and limited aggression under the umbrella of nuclear doctrine, as the main determinant of Poland's strategic environment, and as the response he pointed to an integrated security system prioritising the qualitative development of the armed forces, together with making use of NATO and the EU. The panel discussed disruptive technologies (AI, cyber) and a redefinition of the defence industry involving start-ups and academia. Re-uploaded on Dr Leszek Sykulski's channel, the recording has drawn several times more views there than the original.
