Deputy director of the Instytut Bezpieczeństwa i Rozwoju Międzynarodowego (IBRM); former president of the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency; in 1991–2008 president of Targi Warszawskie.

Author of about 800 press articles on the economy. At GGM he analysed China's “dual circulation” strategy and Chinese investment in Poland.
