Summary

Moderator Marek Stefan (Układ Sił) framed the topic as the consolidation of Eurasia – the development of the New Silk Road and the European response – against the backdrop of US–China rivalry over trade. Paweł Behrendt took issue with the thesis that the supercontinent is consolidating and discussed Japan's policy of making its supply chains independent of China after the 2020 lockdown. Sławomir Majman noted that about 60% of battery investments in Poland have Chinese links, and explained the “dual circulation” strategy. Patrycja Pendrakowska spoke about nearshoring to Central and Eastern Europe and the durability of Chinese interest in investing in the region.
