Summary

This debate among three ambassadors on Poland's credibility and effectiveness in international organisations had two parts: the panelists' theses and a discussion. Marek Ziółkowski, former ambassador to NATO, spoke about Poland's adaptation to the Alliance's new strategic concept; Jakub Wiśniewski contributed the perspective of multilateral diplomacy at the OECD, and Tomasz Orłowski his experience as ambassador to France and Italy. One thesis put forward was that Poland paradoxically “prefers power politics to the power of politics”. In closing, Igor Miasnikow announced a return to the in-person format in Sopot.
