Edition / Role

  1. 24 April 2018

    Edition II (2018)

The Neo–Cold War Threat to Poland's Security

Panel “Poland as a Regional Power”

Thesis: the current confrontation differs from the Cold War in that Russia allows for covert, Ukrainian-style aggression also against NATO states, as well as limited aggression below the threshold of a major war, shielded by the doctrine of “nuclear de-escalation”; the West needs predictable stabilisation mechanisms. The talk is cited in Igor's master's thesis (footnote 183).

  2. C4ISR in an Era of Geostrategic Challenges for Poland

    Pre-conference interview, 4th edition

A conversation about C4ISR systems, the deployment of sensors on Polish territory, the readiness of armoured brigades for reconnaissance and their resilience to electronic warfare, and the decentralisation of fire assets to division level.

  3. Debate “Geostrategic Challenges for Poland”

He identified Russia's new cold war with the West – with hybrid forms of aggression and limited aggression under the umbrella of nuclear doctrine – as the main determinant of Poland's external environment; the response should be an integrated security system that prioritises the qualitative development of the armed forces and makes full use of NATO and the EU.
